If you don't have the VNC viewer icon on your desktop, you will need to navigate to it in the start menu.
1. Start by clicking on the Start button. |
2. Go to All Programs then Real VNC then VNC Viewer 4 then Run VNC Viewer. |
3. In the VNC Viewer Connections Details windows, enter the Fully Qualified Domain Name of the computer you are trying to connect to (Normally you asked to choose a FQDN during the signup process).
4. Your FQDN is a combination of the name you chose for your computer and connecttopc.com. So as an example let’s say that we have a computer that we have assigned the name HOST-2, its FQDN would be host-2.connecttopc.com. In order to assess this computer over the internet you would type host-2.connecttopc.com in the server box.
Note: Do not disable Encryption, you should leave it on Let Server Choose (Default) or choose Always On. |
5. If this is the first time you’re accessing the remote computer, a security key and computer signature will be automatically generated in order to create a secure connection between the computer you’re on and the remote computer. You will see the windows shown in A, B, C.
A. Click Yes. |
6. Next you will see the VNC Authentication window, enter your password and then click OK. (Leave the Username field blank) |
7. You should now be connected. |
